3. Councillor’s Report
1. Zoning regulation bylaw improvement. – Agenda item
for council meeting on December 9th deals with amendments that staff
are proposing to deal with previously stated concerns, including some
of our’s – some modifications applying generally across the city, and
others tailored to specific neighbourhoods.

4. Committee Reports
Land Use
Rockland property opposite Gonzales proposes a side-yard duplex.
Proponent will meet with LUC in February with a more concrete proposal.
Communications
Newsletter deadline is January 15th
Membership –
New member at 911 Linden
Welcome package to 715 Moss St.
Another new resident on lower Robleda
5. Communications Received
Letter from owner at 1000 Terrace regarding unauthorized improvements.
6. New Business
a) Invite Victoria Police liaison officer to January Board meeting.
ACTION JS will invite him.
b) Planning for AGM. – need nominating committee –
possible members: Lloyd Ollila, Don Hamilton, Alan Lowe, Lois Johnson,
Helmut Hissen, Mitch Hammond. Others that have some insight into land
use issues.
ACTION JS will invite them.
Proposed date is February 9th. 7:30 meeting start.
ACTION BJ will see if Grace Lutheran is available; otherwise change the date to Thursday the 10th, or Monday the 7th.
Proposed Speaker – Deb Day – she is doing a Heritage talk. (Or City Manager. Or Ken Johnson, new president of Heritage Advisory)
ACTION JW will invite her.
ACTION – CS will backfill for DC (away on vacation)
c) Abstract Developments open house attended by several board members.
d) Archives – Lacking a physical location, should we
organize our paper files and request that the city store them? Revisit
this in the new year.
