Land Use

proposal coming to
Planning Department, soon.

1670 Richardson LUC
received revised plans;
Number of students is reduced from 48 to 40; parking at rear of
the site.

1479 Rockland currently a
7-suite apartment,
request to develop an 8th suite in the basement.
o
1082 Richmond at Oak Bay.
Revised proposal
coming 4 stories, 24 units
Motion: Allocate funds (up to $250) so that the Land Use Committee can hold an extra public
information meeting
regarding the revised proposal for development of 1082 Richmond
Avenue, in
advance of the Public Land Use Committee meeting.

Traffic

Digital speed reader boards
were installed on
Rockland and on Richardson, now removed.

Hedge trimming on Rockland
is proceeding.

Cyril Close cul-de-sac
residents would like
to install above-ground planters in the centre of the circle. City
Engineering
Department will visit to determine options and costs.
Woodland Garden

Middle
School students
completed signage
for native plant species, spread woodchips. Support from Thomas
Munson and
Penny (city Parks staff)
Membership and Welcome

committee visits this past month.

Request to upgrade the
public path connecting
mid-block Warren Gardens with Richardson. Need to consult with
neighbours.

There is a local
improvement program that could
share costs.

The last Transportation
Plan was developed
jointly with Fairfield-Gonzales. The steering committee worked
with a
consultant to identify issues and developed recommendations. Now,
seek to
update that strategy, or develop a map of hot-spots, priorities so
that we would
be ready if funds became available.
